Course summary: This virtual course will cover clinical applications for the physical therapy treatment for patients with sexual dysfunction including downtraining techniques, graded exposure, and resources for pain.  2 clinical case studies on sexual dysfunction will be presented.  There will also be a Q&A session with a psychologist that specializes in patient populations with sexual dysfunction.
 
Instructor:
Betsy Walts, PT, OCS, WCS, Cert MDT, obtained her BS in Biological Sciences from North Carolina State University and her Master’s in Physical Therapy from The University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. She has 21 years of clinical experience, with concentration in orthopedics and pelvic health. She is the Women’s Health Physical Therapy Residency Director for M Health Fairview. Her current practice includes all orthopedic and pelvic health issues, with clinical interests in post-partum return to running and spine.
