Course Information Introduction to the total laryngectomy for the Speech-Language Pathologist is intended for professionals with novice experience with the laryngectomy population. This course will cover fundamental content as it relates to procedures, anatomy and physiology, terminology, care/management regarding voice/ communication restoration and swallowing, identification within the healthcare environment, introduction to laryngectomy specific education, supplies, and devices as well as acute airway management.
