PT/PTA partial credit: for partial credit attended will be adjusted on your course certificate and MN board of Approval number removed. You may still be able to submit the hours attended towards your professional license AOTA: Hours for partial credit will be adjusted on your course certificate. Course description: Therapists working with patients in ICU face complex challenges. The content of this webinar will guide clinicians through the process of understanding and managing adult ICU patients, from patient’s election and therapeutic interventions to choosing outcome measures. This webinar is designed to inspire clinicians to reflect on and understand the clinical principles that promote best practices in the ICU and positively influence the recovery of patients.
Instructor: Christiane Perme, PT CCS FCCM is a graduate from the Catholic University in Brazil. She is a Board Certified Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Clinical Specialist and a Fellow of the American College of Critical Care Medicine. Christiane Perme is the owner of Perme ICU Rehab Seminars and a Clinical Development Specialist at the Houston Methodist Hospital, where she practiced primarily in ICU for 30years. She has published 20 articles and is coauthor in 9 book chapters. Ms. Perme has presented hundreds of courses and lectures in the United States. She is also a world-renowned speaker with presentations in Chile, Colombia, Puerto Rico, Denmark, Russia, Brazil, Nigeria, and at the World Physical Therapy Congress in Spain, Canada, and Netherlands.
