Though most healthcare providers would rate medical ethics as a highly important part of their practice, recent studies reveal that most medical professionals (82%) have a low level of knowledge of ethics. A strong ethical foundation fosters trust between patients and healthcare providers, facilitates shared decision-making, and promotes equitable access to care. This course will help providers improve their knowledge and application of medical ethics. Participants will learn about fundamental principles such as patient autonomy, beneficence, and justice; how their decisions regarding treatment, consent, and confidentiality affect individual rights and dignity; and ultimately how to enhance outcomes and patient satisfaction in the rehabilitative journey.
