Description: 

Ethical decision-making is a critical professional skill.  The inherent desire to do good for patients, colleagues and the public can be challenged by complications of the work environment, personal perspectives and patient circumstances.  This interactive webinar will address clinical and professional ethical assessment, problem-solving approaches and introduce tools to support practice.

Objectives: Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Describe the shared decision-making process in clinical care and paradigms for managing values conflict
  • Identify ethical duties unique to various patient populations
  • Define how to apply problem-solving approaches and tools to complex circumstances in practice
